The story of how ‘The Jox’ came to be is your basic story of boy meets girl. In this fairy tale, you won’t hear of mice that can sing, or gnomes that can dance, there are no glass slippers, no wicked witches…well none, that we would actually name. Formed almost by default on April 22nd, 2006 when the duo exchanged their vows, the two set out to change the world, as they knew it. Chasing their passions of filling the world with music that was lyrically thought provoking and music that was heart thrilling.

Two years into their journey, ‘The Jox’ have finally released their 5 song EP entitled ‘Silly World’ which tickles the senses and speaks of the many relationships that make the world turn. They’ll have you singing Silly World under your breath at work, taping your foot to Running out of Time at the dinner table, and meditation on the story of Molly, remembering the life of a loved one with Francis, and falling in love with the truths that are spoken in Maybe. Along with the release of Stilly World, the two have decided to hit the road this summer and meet up with all of their fans.

When asking a audience member about their experience of seeing ‘The Jox’ play live, they said: “Their shows are very intimate, they are always interacting with the crowd and going out and talking to everyone in the audience on their brakes.” Being a very ‘relationship’ driven band, the two will often invite the crowd out to enjoy in a late night dinner after the show.
